Over 150 figure skaters from throughout Newfoundland and Labrador are making final preparations to compete in the 2025-2026 Skate NL Sectional Championships and Kaetlyn Osmond Invitational. This exciting event, scheduled for Dec 5-6,2025, at the Mount Pearl Glacier, will be supported by an enthusiastic Local Volunteer Team from the Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club.
The Skate NL Sectional Championships qualify Pre‑Novice and Novice skaters for the 2026 Skate Canada Trophy—showcasing Canada’s best Pre-Novice and Novice skaters will take place February 5–8, 2026, at the RBC Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
The Kaetlyn Osmond Invitational will feature StarSkaters and Special Olympians competing as they prepare for the Winter Classic Events and Provincial Championships. This event is dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements of World Champion and Olympic Medalist Kaetlyn Osmond, a notable former member of the Skate NL Provincial Team and the Ice Crystals Skating Club in Marystown. The competition will begin 8:00 am, Friday, December 5, and conclude at 8:35 pm, Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Skating enthusiasts, including family, friends, and fans, are warmly invited to join us at The Glacier for an exciting showcase of talent. Come and enjoy skaters from throughout the province as they compete in Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance events.
