During the recent 2026 Atlantic Regional Championships at the Paradise Double Ice Complex, six synchronized skating teams from Newfoundland and Labrador qualified for the Skate Canada Cup, set for March 6–8, 2026, in Waterloo, Ontario. The event will showcase Novice, Gold, and Open teams vying for national titles. In the Novice category, Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Novice Starlites and TP Inferno of the Trinity-Placentia Skating Club qualified. Fusion Gold from Eastern Edge Synchronized Skating Club and Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Starlites Gold secured their places in the Gold category. Qualifying in the Open category are the Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Open Starlites and Eastern Edge Synchronized Skating Club’s Fusion Open. Notably, Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Open Starlites are the reigning 2025 National Synchronized Skating Open Champions.
