Five synchronized skating teams are proudly representing Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2026 Skate Canada Cup, held from March 6–8 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex in Waterloo, Ontario. This national event features teams in the Novice, Gold, and Open categories.
In the Novice category, TP Inferno from the Trinity-Placentia Skating Club will be competing in their first national championships. Eastern Edge Synchronized Skating Club’s Fusion Gold and the Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Gold are set to compete in the Gold category. Additionally, the Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Open Starlites and Eastern Edge Synchronized Skating Club’s Fusion Open are entered in the Open category.
The Skate Canada Cup serves as the national championship for Novice, Gold, and Open-level synchronized skating teams. Bringing together more than 750 skaters from 45 teams, the competition offers participants the opportunity to vie for Canadian titles. This annual championship showcases the skill, artistry, and teamwork that make synchronized skating so exciting.
