Over 500 figure skaters from across Newfoundland and Labrador will participate in the Skate NL 2026 Skating Championships -Weekend 3, scheduled for March 14 and 15 at the Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay.
The Skate NL 2026 Provincial Skating Championships are a significant event in the season for athletes competing in the Adult, Artistic, and Synchronized Skating disciplines. Forty Synchronized Skating Teams from the STAR 5 to Open levels are scheduled to compete on Saturday. Sunday’s schedule includes skaters entered in the Adult and Artistic categories, including Adult Bronze and Gold Free Skate and Silver Free Dance. Artistic skaters will participate in the STAR 5, 7, 9, and Gold Artistic events.
Competition will commence on Saturday, March 14, at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 6:52 p.m. Competition will resume on Sunday, March 15, at 9:00 a.m., with the final event scheduled for 1:15 p.m.
The Prince of Wales Skating Club is delighted to host skaters from Newfoundland and Labrador, along with their coaches, event officials, and the broader skating community. The club eagerly anticipates welcoming everyone to the Jack Byrne Arena for an exhilarating weekend of skating.
