Silver Blades Skating Club will play host to over 250 skaters from throughout the province, competing in the 2025 Agnes Thistle Invitational, scheduled for October 24-25 at the Corner Brook Civic Centre. This prestigious event honours the late Mrs. Thistle’s remarkable 50 years of commitment to volunteer work in figure skating.

As one of the largest events on the Skate Newfoundland and Labrador competition calendar, the Agnes Thistle Invitational will feature Special Olympics, Star, and Podium Pathway skaters competing in various categories, including:

Additionally, this competition acts as the qualifying event for the Skate Canada Challenge at both the Junior and Senior levels.

Skate NL invites everyone in the Corner Brook area to join us at the Corner Brook Civic Centre for an exciting competition or tune into our event livestream   Main Arena  air times are Friday 3:00 pm – 8:35 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 8:10 pm and Sunday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. We will also be streaming from the  Kinsmen Arena  Saturday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
